Judy Coffman Thacker, age 53, of Russellville, AR died
Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Little Rock, AR. A daughter of Emogene Hamilton
Coffman and the late Leamon Coffman, she was born November 25, 1945, at
Hector, AR.
She was an assistant vice president consumer loan officer at River Valley
Bank. She was a board member and treasurer of Main Street Russellville, a
board member of the Russellville Symphony Guild, a member of the Arkansas
River Valley Arts Center and a life member of the Junior Auxiliary of
Russellville. She was a former board member of the River Valley United Way
and the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce. She formerly owned J Thacker
Shoes. She held a degree in accounting from Arkansas Tech University and was
a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Other than her mother, she is survived by, her husband, Jack Thacker; two
sisters and brothers-in-law, Arneta and Gearl Cooper and Jo Ann and Jim
Hays, all of Russellville; her mother-in-law, Jerry Thacker of Russellville;
three nieces, Suzanne Mears of Siloam Springs and Cheryl Flippo and Jennifer
Cooper, both of Russellville; two great-nephews and a great niece.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM today, Wednesday at the First United
Methodist Church with Rev. G. Mackey Yokem and Rev. Allen Grant officiating.
Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn
Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the memorial
service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Judy Thacker Scholarship
