Ouachita Trail Section Seven Dec. 8, 2007

We start across the road from here

The OT

Waiting on the ladies

Making our way, but first a bridge to cross

Our hike began by going "UPHILL"

....and did I mention a little rain

Our first mile marker

We need to get out of this rain

...and this is just the place

...and there it is

...so we take advantage of it

... and we all get out of the rain

I know how to take care of my folks, feed'm, shelter'm.

...but trying to get to leave was a problem

...but we finally left the "Moonshine Shelter"

...and what do we find?  A copperhead in December!

...and Peggy from Benton

... and another mile marker

Hunt's Loop or straight to the truck?

We just don't know!

...and now a decision to make, which way to go???

We decided.....Hunt's Loop

....and to enjoy the vista, that was fogged in.

Someone was a pretty good shot?

And now downhill, rocks and all

Iron Springs.  Who would know?

The sign said so, that's how we knew.

Picnic table and all the fixens'

Ah, just over the bridge and lunch.

Terence (Abe Lincoln) from NLR

Tristan (In deep thought?)

..and Jimmy from LR taking a little chance

Can you find the 13 things different in these pictures?

It is after lunch and now back to the trial and home.

...so back over the bridge

...and another sign to guide our way

We arrive at the trailhead

Back home, yea!

It was a good hike in spite of the weather.
