OHT MAINTENANCE 6/2/07

Crossing Buck Branch

Heading for Chancel

Making a fashion statement

We begin the OHT

Chancel Spur cleanup

On our way to the OHT

We did not trim this tree

..but Gloria took care of the poison ivy

...and David took care of all the sawing

...and there was plenty of sawing to do

...and a few creeks to cross

..but we had some good help

Some of our lunch treats

Wasabi.....what?

PEAS?

Trail Mix, that's good hiking food

It was now time to rest, just a bit

...and enjoy pictures of Karen's grandchild

A perfect day in the Ozarks

G   L   O   R   I    A  (sing it)

Nice treat in the forest

...and a little more rest

...but now back to work

...and a little "up hill' climb

It appeared a wind storm had hit our area

We had to be careful not to stop to fast, while bending over!

The Famous Rock and us

Some neat rock walls along the way

...and a single lonely fern

...and one of many nice shelters

It was like a jungle in many places

...yes, that is mostly POISON IVY

..but not far to go now

At last.....finished

David got a work out today

It was a nice day to pay back to the OHT

We even took time to smell the roses

Our last creek crossing

..some chose to not get their boots wet

The cool water felt good to the feet

..so we stood for a while
